Innovation-and-me-Roy-George

Innovation is at the core of IBS Software and fundamental to our vision and mission. In this blog series, we hear from colleagues on how they personally engage with the topic of innovation.

What does innovation mean to you?

It's promoting an idea which when put into practice, brings absolute joy to the customer.

As Jeff Bezos said: "We innovate by starting with the customer and working backward."

How do you practice an innovation mindset at work?

By encouraging the team to challenge one another with an open mindset, irrespective of their job roles. It helps us to stay innovation-centric and bring in relevancy to the product we deliver.

What do you enjoy about innovation?

The satisfaction of having an impact on a wider audience through creating something new and useful. There's great joy in improving an existing process for greater benefits.

Is innovation a solus or a team activity?

It can be both. It's best when it's a team activity as a collaborative approach on ideas and challenging them on 'one' board, will lead to exceptional outcomes.

Which tech innovations are transforming the travel industry?

Airlines are now taking steps to break away from decades-old processes; this will open doors to many creative solutions.

In my view, through AI-driven personalized recommendations, contextual pricing and digital retail transformations, airlines can stay more customer-centric.
