Lessons to my younger self – Aravind Parameswaran
What lessons would you give your younger self?
We asked Aravind Parameswaran, Senior Service Delivery Manager at IBS Software, to share his advice.
Get skilled
Develop valuable life skills such as learning to cook, budgeting and changing your car tires. You'll gain confidence from these tasks and develop creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, enabling you to handle tougher challenges in life.
Health first
Prioritise looking after your health. If you stay fit, everything else around you will look and feel a whole lot better.
Don't delay tasks
Heed the proverb 'Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today.'
Procrastination only makes matters worse. Get started with the task at hand; you'll find that motivation and momentum soon follow.
Be a doer and not just a dreamer
Life is filled with uncertainties; if you wait for 100% information to start the journey towards your goal, you are likely to make little progress.
Instead, make assumptions and take calculated risks towards your next steps.
