IBS Software at Loyalty@Freddie Awards 2016

IBS was the proud co-sponsor of the spectacular Loyalty@Freddie Awards event which concluded on April 28, 2016 in Las Vegas, USA. The two day event saw an impressive attendance of over 250 professionals from various domains including airlines, hotel chains, car rental companies, credit card companies, top IT companies and consultants. The wide range of industries present at the event provided varying perspectives that drove content rich discussions on improving loyalty programs.

The conference showcased global technologies and future trends and included keynotes, panel discussions and debates from industry experts. IBS's very own Marcus Puffer, Vice President of Global Loyalty Strategy, chaired a panel discussion titled "New Kids On the Block", a debate on technical and business imperatives for entities considered new entrants in the loyalty space. The panel included eminent speakers and industry experts, who shared their valuable insights. These speakers included:

  • Jordan Salmon, Vice President Loyalty Marketing Strategy, MGM Resorts
  • Julia Russell, Senior Director, Loyalty Marketing, Wyndham Rewards
  • Kristin Møllerplas, Loyalty Manager, Norwegian Reward
  • Sanjai Velayudhan, Associate Vice President-Loyalty Programs, Wipro BPS

IBS made its presence as a technology provider felt in the very competitive landscape through the booth, collaterals, and knowledge sharing exercises. The event also provided an excellent opportunity to network with the who's-who of the travel loyalty industry and to feel the pulse of the industry. We are confident that participation in the Freddies Awards will gain immense traction from the industry to help achieve our business objectives. With new developments in the industry such as revenue based loyalty programs and loyalty analytics, this was a big step for IBS.

The conference concluded with the conferring of the prestigious Freddie awards on the evening of April 28th, in the iconic T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. The Freddie Awards were started in 1988 by InsideFlyer magazine's Randy Petersen. Since then, the "Freddies" have grown in stature and importance to become the most prestigious member-generated awards in the travel loyalty industry. The goal of the Freddie Awards is to give voice to the frequent flyer and to honour the efforts of an industry that counts more than 300 million members worldwide.
